This is from a client of The Walk-In Ministry...

I was reading the article in the Independent about the Elmhurst Walk-In Ministry and it brought back many memories.

When the ministry was just about 1 year old, my family was in need of some major help as my husband lost his job after 29 years with the same company due to the economy.  Carol Yesko, from the ministry, turned out to be our guardian angel.

We had a new little baby girl at the time and they provided us with diapers and formula.  Christmas that year the ministry provided our household with gifts for the entire family.  One of the gifts that stands out in my mind is an outfit for the new baby with a throw away camera and a gift certificate from Dominick's to get the film developed.

What thoughtfulness went into that gift!  We are truly fortunate to have such a caring ministry in out town.  Thanks to all the "angels" that took care of us at such a hard time!
